DYNAMICAL CRITICAL BEHAVIOUR OF HEISENBERG FERROMAGNETS FOR T Tc

چکیده
From an 0 (E)-calculation (E = 6 d) of the dynamical spin correlation function in a Heisenberg system for T 2 T, an expression for that function applicable in dimension d= 3 is deduced. It comprises the expected limiting behaviour in different sectors of the critical region. It has been shown that the MaiMazenko model of a Heisenberg ferromagnet [I], evaluated within an &-expansion, E = 6 d [2, 31, accounts very well for certain features found by neutron scattering in Fe, Ni and EuO [P6] at T,. To investigate the applicability of the model also for T > T,, one has to calculate the spin correlation function for arbitrary values of q, w, and the correlation length J. Since the calculation involves an expansion around d= 6 [7], the result must be processed further in order to apply in d= 3 [8]. Superconductivity and Quantum Phase Transitions in Weak Itinerant Ferromagnets
It is argued that the phase transition in low-Tc clean itinerant ferromagnets is generically of first order, due to correlation effects that lead to a nonanalytic term in the free energy. A tricritical point separates the line of first order transitions from Heisenberg critical behavior at higher temperatures. Sufficiently strong quenched disorder suppresses the first order transition via the a...
متن کاملCRITICAL DYNAMICS AND DIPOLAR INTERACTION IN EuO
Recent neutron scattering studies of the critical behaviour of isotropic ferromagnets revealed the apparent contradiction between a good agreement with dynamic scaling at T = T, and drastic deviations from scaling at T > Tc. In EuO the experimental findings are consistent with latest theoretical results taking into account dipolar interactions. The ferromagnetic-paramagnetic phase transition at...

Abstract. We consider quantum-dynamical phenomena in the SU(2), S = 1/2 infinite-range quantum Heisenberg spin glass. For a fermionic generalization of the model we formulate generic dynamical selfconsistency equations. Using the Popov-Fedotov trick to eliminate contributions of the non-magnetic fermionic states we study in particular the isotropic model variant on the spin space. Two complemen...

The results of a numerical solution of the mode-coupling equations for EuO and EuS taking into account the microscopical properties of the compounds are presented. Good agreement with the available neutron scattering data is found and predictions for further experiments on EuS are given. The results of high resolution neutron scattering experiments on insulating ferromagnetic Europium compounds...
متن کاملScaling of the magnetic linear response in phase-ordering kinetics
– The scaling of the thermoremanent magnetization and of the dissipative part of the non-equilibrium magnetic susceptibility is analysed as a function of the waiting-time s for a simple ferromagnet undergoing phase-ordering kinetics after a quench into the ferromagnetically ordered phase. Their scaling forms describe the cross-over between two power-law regimes governed by the non-equilibrium e...
